Elements to Include in Your Literacy History:
First, share a little information about who you are now. Discuss how you became literate, including literacy experiences from preschool, elementary school, middle or junior high, high school, and/or college (choose to include only those that were instrumental in creating the person you are today.

Describe the kinds of reading and writing activities (or other methods of knowledge acclamation—how you gain knowledge) you enjoy.
Explain why you value your literacy by discussing what it’s meant to you to be literate and what you’ve been able to accomplish or challenges you’ve faced and overcome due to your literacy.
You can make your literacy history more interesting by including the URLs to people, places, books, etc., that play a part in your literacy development.
